Poetry Writing Workshop, Perth Western Australia, 1 September 2008

Since 1986 I have sculpted in English, seeking poems that work whether declaimed loudly or whispered in the mind. Never a closet poet, I have always written with an audience in mind, and I like to recite to audiences wherever I find myself (mostly in Perth, Western Australia). I try to write poems that will be appreciated by people both inside and outside literary circles. This website is an ongoing project and is the definitive collection of my poetry. Do let me know what you think.

If you'd like me to email you when I add new poems to Proximity, please send me your email address, which I will not reveal to anybody.

If you think this website is visually boring, I'm sorry, but I prefer fast, uncluttered websites that work well on any system with any browser. If it doesn't work well for you, please send me some details.

And no, I don't make websites for anyone but myself, for love or money. I will, however, do poems, performances, workshops, reviews, etc, for varying rewards.

Poets Corner : Third Saturday of the month. Pages Cafe, Alexander Library, Perth Cultural Centre. Guest poets. Open mike. 2-4pm. Free, but please buy stuff from the cafe if you can.
